Comfortable Southern Living…in the Heart of Thoroughbred Country
Surrounded by Southern Charm, Cedar Creek lies just outside of Aiken, South Carolina, an historic community whose heritage began in the mid 1800’s when the nation’s first locomotive railroad service brought lowlanders from their coastal plantations to escape the summer heat and humidity.  This heritage soon attracted wealthy visitors from the North, who “wintered” in this Southern play ground, bringing with them a lifestyle filled with culture and passion for leisure activates.
Designed to accommodate this active Southern lifestyle, Cedar Creek offers a variety of activates for all ages.  In this friendly community you can set your own pace.  Relax pool-side or take a dip in the 25-meter competition-size pool.  Play tennis into the night on lighted courts, or meet your neighbors at the Community Center for many of the resident sponsored social events. Several miles of nature trails weave through  the the wooded community.  If golf is your passion, step onto the lush fairways and greens of Cedar Creek Golf Club’s 18-hole course that offers several levels of challenges for scratch golfers, as well as beginners.  The recent opening of “The Players School” provides clinics as well as private instruction at reasonable cost for men, women and children.  And if you are thirsty or hungry, “Club 2475” will satisfy the most discriminating palate.

The historic  town of Aiken features gourmet restaurants and superior shopping opportunities at everything from antique and boutique shops to modern Big-Box stores.  Higher education offerings are available through Aiken Technical College and the University Of South Carolina’s Aiken campus and their Academy for Lifelong Learning. College courses are tuition-free for seniors 60 and over. Aiken Regional Medical Center,  Carolina Heart and Vascular Center, Cancer Care Institute and Carolina Musculoskeletal Institute, as well as many other medical centers and services offer state-of-the-art healthcare.  Assisted living, wellness and hospice programs; nursing homes and veteran facilities are all conveniently located to Cedar Creek.

In  addition to a mild four-season climate and year-round sunshine Aiken is centrally located:  2 1/2 hours or less to the coast.  Visit Charleston, Hilton Head, Beaufort, Savannah or any of the other beautiful coastal communities.  2 1/2 hours or slightly more to the mountainous regions of South Carolina and North Carolina.  One of the major attractions is the Vanderbilt Estate in Asheville. Augusta, Georgia is just 17 miles west of Aiken…home of the Masters  Tournament.  Atlanta and Charlotte are both just another short ride and offer “big-city” amenities and international airports.
